Anna Sewell, author of the classic animal story Black Beauty, was a Christian lady who loved horses. Black Beauty was her only literary work. She abhorred the way people in Victorian England abused horses. This moved her to write her famous book, which was published when she was fifty-seven years old. She died one year later after seeing her book become a success.
We’re never too old to pursue our literary dreams!
